Face-Book: a total look, brought to you by NUDE BY NATURE

The other day I was talking with a friend about foundations and she said something like: “Well, with foundations you are sort of in a relationship: some of them last forever, others have to end at some point”. I had a similar experience with my beloved MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation. Over the years I have been using them in multiple tones and tubes. Now we have gone our separate ways but without any bitter feelings. In the end it was simply “too much coverage” – my skin has changed. And so we simply drifted apart.

So there I was, looking for something new, something natural, for every day. I was also looking for make-up which fits my skincare better because there have been quite some changes on this area over the past months. Especially in terms of letting go of stuff. Like many things it just appeared to me that:

Less is more.
But I couldn’t do it
with no foundation at all.

And it was a lucky coincidence that I had the privilege to test the products of the Australian trend label Nude By Nature. The name says it: the foundation and co. are all enriched with natural ingredients. You can smell it when you are holding them in your hands and they also feel totally natural on your skin.

My skin has usually been always quite insensitive towards beauty products from the drug store und until now I had been happy with my old foundation. In terms of texture and coverage I am now able to achieve my goal on a natural basis.

I have come so far to actually looking forward to the pure clean sensation. It feels there is only a very pleasant mix of nature on my skin. It helps to cover just like that some redness here and there and dark eye circles or it gives me a touch of summer glow. A perfect match. The only thing missing is a little more tanning in order to achieve the full Australian Glow but that can only get better this year! Until the next holiday I will simply make do with the Nude By Nature products. My highlights are the Sheer Illuminator, The Radiant Loose Powder foundation, and my new favourite blush, the Cashmere Pressed Blush.

But first things first.

The Luminous Sheer Liquid Foundation (about 28 €) is a true multi-talent. With it I can achieve a very light as well as a multi-layered covering result. Bronzer as well as Blush are highly pigmented so I brush rather carefully. For my everyday look though I applied the Perfect Primer (about 25 €) first and at the same time gave myself a little facial massage. The primer smells lovely and works as a basis best when it’s being massaged onto the skin. Afterwards, I apply Luminous Sheer Liquid Foundation with my fingertips. But careful! The foundation looks too bright at first but it matches your skin tone during the application. I am using the colour shade W2 Natural. The Concealer (about 22 €, I am using 04 Rose Beige) beautifully hides dark circles and has a very pleasant consistency. Next step is my favourite part: I am putting the Sheer Illuminator (about 20 €) under my brows, on my cheekbones, my temples and onto the bridge of my nose. Since the tone is very soft and warm, you can just dapple it with your fingertip and it won’t look patchy in the end.

With the Radiant Loose Powder Foundation (about 28 €in W6 Desert Beige) I finally put some contour under the cheekbones and chin. Some Cashmere Pressed Blush (about 25 €, in 01 Soft Coral) – et voila!

The brand is already a trend-setter in Australia and I know why. Nude By Nature needs no synthetic preservatives and no chemical ingredients and the result is so natural and easy – perfect for an everyday look. Of course, the colours are earthier and are based on a natural range of colours but who needs some colour here and there can simply add on top some blue lashes, orange lips or red nail polish.

The products work hand in hand as a combination and they enhance each rather than being inseparable – I love that. This way, you can also just take the Illuminator in your purse and conjure a quick glow in between. A good selection can be found at Douglas. Here you can also find each product singularly or as a set plus vegan brushes and just like that we’re a little closer to Down Under.
